Spring is coming, snow is melting – how do we reserve snowmen?
3D sensing class at ITP: our task was to scan an object.
SymbiosisS is an electronic textile designed for public places where people need to wait for long time - such as hospitals or administration offices. The artifact visualizes minutes one spends while waiting; by taking a seat, an animation of pattern-patches start to appear on the three-dimensional carpet-like material. Further development focuses on an interactive learning environment for rehabilitation.

Tabula Rasa is a unique technology based concept that delivers a more natural interface for personal communication. The design is embedded in a wooden coffee table intended for leisure use. It consists of a built-in sand-tray onto which users can draw personal and intimate messages which are then auto-magically transmitted to another table or alternatively to any touch-screen device. The device is activated once a smart phone is placed onto the table. Contacts can be selected from the phone’s unified contact list. Users can also exchange sand messages through a smart phone application while on-the-go.

Beatbox is a system for the animation of inert objects by transforming them into musical instruments. It was presented during the Fall ’10 Tangible Interfaces course at the MIT Media Lab.
The system contains a distributed multi user platform for musical communication. By inviting all objects, of all affordances, to become an instrument players can remix the physical and digital worlds to create new types of music.
